Namaste Beautiful Family of Living Light and Love Everywhere!

We shall put up teepee somewhere near Fethiye and all the peace-loving souls are welcome to join our camp!

We are looking for a place right now somewhere close to Fethiey and Ortaca in south west of Turkey (green hillies and sea!) and going to build up our teepee and start seed camp at least a couple of days before starting the gathering. We have vision for Gathering starting 09.01. and going to continue about 2 weeks until 23.1. or so on. The Great Full Moon will be 11.01. We have also vision about some silent days during the gathering.

We invite all you beautiful souls to come and gather and celebrate and love and heal all together.

OssiBussi Action time

31. Joulukuuta 2008 klo 10:30   ossibussi   Kirjoita kommentti

If there has been a  silent moment, before realizing it some action has arrived… Turkish policemen have actively visited our Bus (read: every evening, no matter where we are parked). The main thing instead of car papers or passports is to find out who we are (are we married) and what is this crazy bus. One night there was seven policemen spending one and half hours with us, taking pictures of us with Bus (but only with their camera, would have caused troubles to them to get on our film…) and drinking chai from our wooden cups:) Great fun. The other night army police came and started pointing different things inside the Bus, teaching these objects in Turkish, like cauliflower, potatoes… Then he pointed at me asking “what?” trying to find out if I’m a friend, wife or WHAT? ha ha.

And if not policemen, then something else.. One day we were stopped by two people waving hands by the road. They were journalists and made on-the-road-interwiev of us which was sent to the five biggest newspapers in Turkey. And sometimes but not too often there has been hitchhikers which is nice specially now that we are just two of us travelling.

camp.jpg

In addition to these on the road meetings we have ended up into such Beautiful places, again. Around Christmas time we were in ancient Efes area visiting old holy places and amphi theatre (the only possible time to visit this place, in the high season it is told to be really Crowded. Even more fascinating it was to park the Bus by Bafa lake which is surrounded by stunning rocky hills and mountains. Walking there we found many many rocks which were carved. Our guess was they have been tombs and that was Right. The area was called Herakleia and cant say a word of its history but Really Amazing Spirit…

camp2.jpg

So, we headed south with the Hope to find some sunshine and warmth. We got closer and wind just felt colder, we found out it is really specially cold days going on… night temperatures drop close to zero and days have been windy. But we still keep on hoping some day soon it is a bit warmer.

On the way Ossi The Bus almost decided not to travel no more. Bus did not start from one forest camp and while trying we ran out of battery. While trying to find out what else was wrong we did quite a big maintenance session with all the oils and breaks and whatever.

car_fix.jpg

The process also included some “omming” (OM-mantra) for the motor to get well again (not only bev´cause the type of the motor is OM, hih) And while we were doing that some help arrived. With help of two locals we charged the battery but found out the other one is not working properly. However, in one more hour motor was on again with help of local mechanist who arrived from the near village just for us. Allah Allah! We could move again!!! Certainly, we are not the ones who decide where to go and when.. Ossi has got his owm will too:)

On the same night we got hosted by lovely family and here we still are. Also here some unplanned stuff arised as this is the house of computer expert and he fixed our computers of all the virus we had collected on the way…. ha… crazy crazy twelwe hours working he did for our computers (Thank You, super John!) So, now we have fixed the car and computers… Ready for New Year!

comp_fix.jpg

And the house happens to be next to the elementary school so Ossi is parked almost on the school yard. Sooo between the computer business we got some wild football games with them.

schoolkids.jpg

Now we are invited to New Years Party to Selma’s family, which is really sweet. As the winds are still blowing hard, we wait happily till tomorrow before looking for the place for the teepee in near areas… But Yes, teepee camp is waiting for us.. Happy to get into wild nature for a while for some Breathing and Silence too. The invitation is Open to all Sisters and Brothers, check the following post and info!

From Our Hearts we hope the coming year to make your Dreams come True!!!

Love love love*

Jotta mummot, papat ja muut armaat suomenkieliset voivat matkata muassamme, sanasia kuulumisista kotimaan kielelläkin…J

Saavuimme Turkkiin joulukuun alussa, rajanylitys kävi tällä kertaa sukkelaan ja hymynkareita oli taas nähtävissä virkailijoiden suupielissä kulkuneuvoamme tarkasteltaessa. Turkkiin saapuminen tuntui kaikinpuolin hyvältä, viimeinkin ripaus itämaiden tuoksua… Päädyimme pariksi päiväksi kauniiseen metsäiseen leiriin, josta avautui näköala Marmara-merelle. Paikasta poistuminen osoittautui kuitenkin haasteeksi, seitsenmetrisen bussin kääntely mäntypuiden lomassa oli millityöskentelyä, joka lopulta meni kirjaimellisesti päin mäntyä.

turkki_metsa1.jpg

Parkkihallissamme tulin todistaneeksi pässin teurastusta hallin oviaukolla… Kaupunki imaisi meidät mukaansa, tulimme tavanneeksi paljon uusia ja vanhoja tuttavuuksia mitä erilaisempia reittejä… miljoonakaupungissakin on todella mahdollista törmätä tuttuihin kadulla… Päädyimme myös treenailemaan Nei-huilua, joka on Sufien perinteinen soiti, jonka opettelu vaatii aikaa ja kärsivällisyyttä (lohdullista kuulla, attä äänen saaminen tästä soittimesta tapahtuu monesti vasta viikon treenin jälkeen). Gabriel osti itselleen kyseisen soittimen, toistaiseksi olen kuullut pihinää…

nei_man.jpg

ista_brothers.jpg

Brothers Gabriel and Andris, Adriel ja Gabris:)

OssiBussi Lovely lovely Istanbul

19. Joulukuuta 2008 klo 15:13   Freia   Kirjoita kommentti

So in the beginning of December we entered to Turkey, the border was silent and surprisingly piece of cake… Sometimes I wonder if the custom guys just get confused because of seeing this colourful crazy bus and they forget their duties… But I dont mind. However, the vibes of Turkey were warm and wellcoming. We had the mission to travel to Istanbul firstly because of good experience (both told and some of us self experienced) from there and secondly we knew there is some post waiting for us in poste restante (like the lost teepee door and some salmiakki — the salty black candy the most not-finnish-people dislike… haaa!)

On the way to Istanbul we found nice camp on cliffs next to Marmara Sea. Well, some would say it was crazy idea in first place to make the camp with Bus into this forest, but such a good place to chill out before Big City. But Oh Yes, it was hardcore to drive out from that camp and as a result the Bus hit the tree (back glass broken) and the bottom (hole in the back door). This was actually the biggest damage so far. So what to do but start fixing in the middle of road… I guess in one hour we were on the road again having same bright red tape in back window and almost as brightly shining red clue in the back door.I must admit I thought the result would be worse. So, now there is red sun-shaped thing decorating the back window. Actually you could think it is part of the basic decoration of this Bus.

tr_wall_fixing_41.jpg

We took slowly driving into Istanbul … knowing it is a city of 15 million people we decided to arrive here early on Sunday morning. And it turned out to be the best possible timing also because the ten days religious holiday had just begun and lot of people had traveled out the city. It was amazing to drive straight in front of the world famous mosques on Sultan Ahmet area. With help of the local people we found really cool parking place in Taksim with a view over the Bosporus river and we are allowed to keep our camp there. Such a blessing to find a safe camp for the bus home though we of course got to pay some liras each day of staying there.

istanbul_camp1.jpg

istanbul_yogi.jpg

And what a Great City this is!!! 15 million people, but so easy-going. And some magnetical ways in one week we have found whole network of lovely people. It has been so much fun to invite people for dinner in our Bus as well as go out for crazy dancing or late breakfasts in traditional Turkish style… And how about learning (trying to learn) to play traditional Sufi flute “Nei”… Gabriel got so fascinated of it he got to buy one… It is said it can take one week to get the sound out of it and even after 15 years you are called “beginner”…

ista_buing_nei.jpg

Buying the Nei for Gabriel with the support of Brother Omar and Sister Selva:)

Istanbul certainly is a powerful place. In our journey it seems to be an important turning point… Andris had his flight back to Latvia and Sanna shall stay some time more in this city of good vibes, Suvi took her own paths exploring here too. So, me (Freia) and Gabriel are the ones who jumped into the Bus and took the direction South Turkey for some months with the idea putting up teepee somewhere around Fetiye area (sisters, brothers, find us there in January!!!!) We got two more months time to spent in Turkey. After that it seems we might be taking the road towards east through Georgia, Azerbaidzan, Turkmenistan… Lets see… Anyway a lot of encouragement has been given from different directions of choosing this special route instead of going to Iran.

ista_letters.jpg

Posts from the home arrived!

We are amazed by all the macigal “coincidences” on the way: meeting the Right people on the right time and ending up to some magic places. It is sad to leave Istanbul and turn the new blanco page… But wow, what a strong power there is… OssiBussi seems to be always surrounded by some love and magic - we never fall out of it and that is amazing.

OssiBussi Kind of art, kind of travelling…
